東京藝術大学附属高等学校、同大学ピアノ科を卒業。パリ国立高等音楽院ピアノ科を一等賞で卒業し、上級ディプロムを取得。ベルギー政府給費留学生として、ブリュッセル王立音楽院ピアノ科マスターコースに学び、満場一致の一等賞ならびに栄誉賞にて修了。またフォルテピアノをパリ国立高等音楽院古楽器科に学び、満場一致の一等賞で卒業。古楽の上級ディプロムも取得する。
現代音楽からフォルテピアノまでの幅広いレパートリーをもとにリサイタルシリーズ「Parfum du Futur」（19回開催）や、室内楽シリーズ「l’Espace」（3回開催）など多彩な演奏活動を展開。「現代音楽における若手ピアニストとして最も将来を嘱望される演奏家の一人」（音楽の友2009年12月号）と評され、同誌の「コンサート・ベストテン2006、09、10、11、14」および「旬の日本人演奏家たち」（2013年5月号）にも選出された。また、カウニアイネン音楽祭（フィンランド）での公演や、ニューヨークの新鋭カルテット、ユリシーズ弦楽四重奏団やフランスのデュオ・オスティナートなど海外アーティストとの共演も多い。
カメラータ・トウキョウよりリリースしたCD『一柳慧ピアノ作品集』、『France Now』、『Japan Now』はいずれもレコード芸術特選盤他の高い評価を受けており、特に『France Now』は2014年度 第52回レコード・アカデミー賞（現代曲部門）、および『クラシック不滅の名盤1000』（2018年『レコード芸術』編）に選ばれる。また2017年には一柳慧「ピアノ協奏曲第4番Jazz」の2台ピアノ版をピアノソロ用に編曲し、「ジャズ・ファンタジー」としてショット社より出版された。
小林仁、播本枝未子、故G. ムニエ、故C. エルフェ、他の各氏に師事。
洗足学園音楽大学、桐朋学園大学音楽学部、東京藝術大学非常勤講師。ピティナ汐留イタリア街ステーション、演奏団体“MUSIC BASKET”各代表。秋田市観光クチコミ大使。2010年第28回中島健蔵音楽賞 受賞。

Aska Iino was born in Akita, Japan. She studied piano and fortepiano at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (1st Prize of piano and Mention Très Bien, awarded unanimously of fortepiano) as well as piano at Tokyo University of the Arts. In addition, she attended the Brussels Royal Conservatoire (1st Prize, awarded “unanimously with distinction”) on a scholarship of the French Community of Belgium.
At the age of five, she performed with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra (Cond. Tadaaki Otaka).
Drawing on her wide repertoire ranging from contemporary music to the early 18th Century music of fortepiano, Aska Iino performs regularly in front of world wide audiences. Her concerts have been held in Japan, Finland, France, Spain, U.S.A., Russia, Taiwan, etc… Since 2005, she has continued an annual recital series titled “Parfum du Futur” featuring contemporary music along with historical fortepiano music which uniquely combines rich and robust sounds with soft and delicate tones. From 2016, she had begun new a chamber music series titled “I’Espace”. She is highly acclaimed as one of the most promising pianist of modern music.
Her first album “Piano Works by Toshi Ichiyanagi” (released in 2012), second album “France Now” (2014) and third album “JAPAN NOW” (2017) were highly acclaimed and selected as the best album by ‘Record Geijutsu’, a Japanese mazagine specialized in classical music and records.
In 2010, she received the 28th Nakajima Kenzo Music Award, a prize awarded for extraordinary contributions to contemporary music in Japan. And in 2015, her second album “France Now” received the 52nd Record Academy Award in Japan (contemporary music section).
She also has won several other competitions, including the notable Grand Prix at the 10th Omagari Music Festival for Young Musicians Competiton, Japan, and the SPEDIDAM Prize at the 4th Concours International Piano XXe Siècle d’ Orléans, France.
Ms. Iino has studied with Prof. Germaine Mounier, Prof. Claude Helffer, Prof. Alain Planès, Prof. Hortense Cartier-Bresson, Prof. Dominique Cornil, Prof. Mieko Harimoto, Prof. Hitoshi Kobayasi, Prof. Patrick Cohen, all of whom are accomplished musicians and scholars respectively.
Currently she is a lecturer at multiple institutions across Japan including Senzoku Gakuen College of Music in Japan, Toho Gakuen Scool of Music and Tokyo University of the Arts.
